While the world has been at a standstill for several months due to the pandemic, Switzerland can see the light at the end of the tunnel and has started to slowly re-open businesses. Starting from June 8th, universities will be able to re-open.

Due to the current pandemic and like many construction sites in Switzerland, renovations to Vatel Hotel have been delayed.

Like all Swiss schools, Vatel Switzerland has had to close its doors, for the safety of its students and employees, until April 30th. 

For several years, Vatel Switzerland has been a partner of the biggest regional events to involve its students. Hired to service the most prestigious parties, these students are taking their first steps in the world of events.

After an excellent 2019 vintage, the Vatel 2020 wine is expected to be,  an exceptional cuvée to celebrate the school's 10th anniversary.

Whilst celebrating its 10th anniversary, Vatel Hotel will go through a two-phase renovation process for its 48 rooms and 3 suites and will reopen in the forthcoming months.

Four years ago, Théo and Maximiliano were still at the Vatel Switzerland, working in groups on numerous projects to achieve their MBA. Today, they find themselves at the head of a brand-new company, Betreat.

In order to maintain the high level of support and coaching for our students within the application hotel, the heads of department went through the FSEA training.

The school has continued to grow and evolve since its creation in 2010. The latest news is the arrival of the federal accreditation, which will make Vatel Switzerland the first “Hotel Management School” in Valais!

Three years ago, Barney Hoang finished his studies at Vatel Switzerland. He has now accomplished his dream by opening his first hotel 6 months ago.

Three of our students had the opportunity to live an original practical experience through the organization of the gastronomic fortnight. A flagship event of the Vatel restaurant, which honoured the Bordeaux region for this new edition.

On November 8th, eleven participants were in the running for the BUCHERER Trophy for the "Best Receptionist" of Switzerland. A demanding competition in which Camille Chauvy and Nicolas Astié, two of our Vateliens participated.

Serving others is a priceless quality in the hospitality industry, but not just there. Students with a degree in hotel management are attractive to employers: their qualities make them champions in all types of professions.

The 26th Eurhodip conference took place in Istanbul from October 16 though 20th, with the theme “Together, let’s build bridges.” Roughly a hundred participants from 25 countries and 35 schools attended this event.

For a week, Vatel Switzerland students had the opportunity to meet with prestigious companies in the hotel and luxury sector. The goal is for our students to obtain an internship or a job.
