* Vatel’s 5-week Passerelle program is designed to enable students with a bachelor’s degree in management to acquire the skills and knowledge in hospitality and restaurant services management to continue their schooling with a Vatel MBA, while optimizing their previous knowledge.

Admission requirements

In Switzerland: Maturité +3 additional studies**
In France: Baccalauréat +3 additional studies**
In Belgium: Certificat de fin d’études secondaires +3 additional studies**
In other countries: Undergraduate Degree**

**Students without any prior knowledge in hospitality must have previously taken the bridging courses at Vatel Nîmes.

English Proficiency: CEFR level B2, TOEFL 580 (90 IBT) or IELTS 6.0 (academic) + one-page personal essay or a cover letter written in English.

Training objective

Acquire analytical and decision-making skills while gaining practical managerial experience.
Develop a "think outside the box" mind-set to cultivate entrepreneurial qualities, within the context of the international tourism and hospitality industry.

Dot MBA year 1

Step by step, students acquire analytical and decision-making methods as well as managerial experience.

Semester 1 > Theoretical courses

Operational audit, financial analysis, marketing strategy, business strategy, IT, human resources, hotel strategies, legal, taxation, economics in hotel and tourism industry, foreign languages, foreign languages 2

Semester 2 > Theoretical courses

Business & innovation strategy, advanced hotel economy, Vatel international, hotel finance management, human resources management, sales and marketing management, languages, thesis

Students can choose another MBA specialization for their second semester.

Dot MBA year 2

Students study key strategic rules and then apply them to Hotel Management.

Students may choose an MBA specialization for their second year. In this case, Semester 2 is academic and Semester 3 targets management training applied to that specialization.

Semester 3 > Internship

The campuses in Switzerland to obtain a MBA :


1 You contact the Vatel Campus of your choice (at a forum, by internet, by email, etc.).

2 You send your completed application form and all other documents requested back to the school.

3 The school will study your file, and should you be admissible, will invite you to the next entrance exam.

4 You take the entrance exam in the school you would like to attend.

5 You will receive your results within a few days.

6 Your admission will be validated after an interview with the school director of the school you would like to attend.
