The air of the Atlas Mountains blows to Valais!

An essential culinary experience that you don’t want to miss! Twice a year, the Vatel Restaurant invites you to discover the flavors of its gourmet fortnights.


From March 20thto March 30th, 3 students took charge of organizing the latest fortnight theme. Yanis Hirane, Géraldine Bach, and Kenza Cherkaoui decided to bring us the flavors of Morocco with a spicy and savoury new menu of various Moroccan dishes also comprised of new beverages and decoration to set the mood. The students meticulously thought of every detail to organize this event.

With regards to the cuisine style and cooking methods, who better to advise than a renowned Moroccan Chef in the menu creation? The students’ seeked the knowledge of Ahmed Ed Defa, Executive Chef of the Sofitel Hotel Marrakech. As for the drinks, they went in the direction of the Domaine Larroque which is a region of Meknes in order for you to discover the wines of Morocco. 

But that’s not all, the students organized a whole series of activities during the fortnight such as live cooking, Moroccan dancers as well as musicians. The students also organized a contest and the winners got a trip to Marrakesh offered by Octodure Travel… Not bad!
