Return

Camille first started her professional experience as an intern. Bachelor students in the International Hotel Mangement Program complete two internships that last 4 to 6 months in the most beautiful estalibshments in Switzerland and in the world.

« My internships were of great importance during my studies at Vatel Switzerland and helped me define my professional career. They allow real immersion into the professional world and offer an approach that is both theoretical and practical. The responsibilities I had allowed me to understand my tasks as an employee and to develop my skills in the luxury hotel industry, in Switzerland and internationally.

My first experience was in catering, at Chalet Royalp in Villars sur Ollon, in a luxury hotel environment which has given me a lot and reinforced my desire to continue my career in this very demanding environment.

For my second internship, I had the opportunity to join the Front Office team at Park Hyatt Saigon in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. This experience was enriching in both a professional and cultural point of view.

After obtaining my Bachelor in 2017, I had the chance to find my first job thanks to the recommendations of Mr. Koolmon, Head of Internships and Careers at Vatel Switzerland.

I joined the team at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel de la Paix in Geneva as a receptionist. This « boutique hotel » brought me a lot and in two years time, my managers gave me the honor to participate in the Bucherer Trophy, running for Best Receptionist in 2019. This was an unforgettable experience which earned me a place on the podium.

Following this, I had the opportunity to evolve within the hotel and join the sales team in January 2020, as Sales & Marketing Coordinator. This was a position that I wanted to pursue for some time as I was highly interested in getting into sales.

Recently, I have had the chance to be promoted to Sales Manager. My job has many facets and being a Sales Manager opens many doors. My role is mainly oriented towards local customers. On one hand, I am the Events Manager and I organize all the events within the hotel from start to finish. On the other hand, I am also the local Ambassador for all of our corporate clients. I am the main contact for local businesses when they want to accomodate their employees or clients in our establishment. »

« My longterm goal is to have an international career. »

My current objective is to evolve and further discover my position. I love this versatile and diverse side of my job that gives me new experiences and skills daily. I am particularly fond of Geneva, which I have known since childhood, I do not see myself leaving any time soon, but if an international opportunity arises, I wont think twice to seize the moment ! »
