Vatel Switzerland alongside their students during their internships.

Mr. Neil Koolmon, Head of Internships and Careers, enabled Bachelor and MBA students to complete their internships despite a difficult period.

The COVID 19 pandemic triggered a wave of panic around the world and severely affected the hospitality and tourism industry. Vatel Switzerland surely successfully reacted to the chaos generated by the flow of internship cancellations. Counting on a vast network of loyal partners, Mr Neil Koolmon, Head of the Internship and Career Department, managed to enable students to successfully complete their internship semester by finding alternative opportunities.

“All the students who were enable to carry on with their internships abroad and those who could be repatriated in time to France and Switzerland were all offered new opportunities. Only seven students, out of over a hundred, will have to complete their mandatory internships at the end of their final year of the Bachelor program.  Our hotel in Martigny, Hotel Vatel, also offered nine opportunities in various departments : food and beverage, events, rooms divisions in order to help those with cancelled contracts. We are proud and happy to have supported our students and assure a certain level of continuity in their practical studies. Thank you to our loyal employers and partners!”
