Vatel Switzerland wins the Young Hoteliers Summit

Robin Beney and Matthias Le Large, two 3rd year students, came in first place in the annual creative challenge of the Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne out of over 40 participating hospitality management schools.


An independent event, the Young Hoteliers Summit takes place each year for a three-day competition, with the participation of leading figures in hospitality who judge students chosen from the 40 best hospitality management schools in the entire world.

Robin Beney, a third-yearBachelor in International Hotel Management student at Vatel Switzerland is one of the team members who won the Young Hoteliers Summit competition.

I’m really proud to have been selected to represent Vatel Switzerland and to have promoted my school by winning this prize,” said Robin Beney.

The program included a creative challenge, conferences given by prestigious speakers, exchange workshops and recruitment opportunities. 

“Creating links between hotel clients:” This was the mission that each of the twelve teams, made of eight students, had to fulfill.

These were the four sections of the DOM application (meaning house in Latin), created by the winning group. The idea was to have hotel clients link up according to their interests. 

A great experience which allowed us to talk to influential people in the hospitality industry as well as meeting the future leaders in this profession,” added Matthias Le Large, one of Robin’s classmates and the second delegate representing Vatel at the Young Hoteliers Summit.
