"For each recruitment, we attach a lot of attention to two main things : Degrees and work experience.
A recognized hospitality training and significant experiences related to the job are really important when applying for an internship. We are also really careful to the presentation of the application, spelling and content of the cover letter. Once through the application process, we select the candidats for interviews and make sure that their motivation is still intact.
We also put in the equation their personnality and attitude during the interviews. We can then select the best profile that matches the job descripton and the companies culture.
In general, we tend to offer the most places in F&B, depending on the season around 10 position in service 5 to 6 places in the kitchen, in front office of purchaising department we offer only one opportunity per semester.
We have been welcoming for years now students from Vatel and we have always been satisfied with their attitude and eagerness to learn.
They have good practical knowledge and are most of the time aware of the long way of everything they have to achieve before becoming great managers. Theorical and practical knowledge are of the hotmost important if one aims at managing a department or a hotel.
There are no better ways to learn than by practical ! Being able to apply theory directly into practice at school or a hotel/restaurant is a great opportunity for any given student.
This is the first step into professional world."
