COVID-19: School will reopen on June 8th, 2020

While the world has been at a standstill for several months due to the pandemic, Switzerland can see the light at the end of the tunnel and has started to slowly re-open businesses. Starting from June 8th, universities will be able to re-open.

Although unable to return to total regularity, Vatel Switzerland has decided to welcome its students again with high health and sanitary precautions.

With the presence of a 4* hotel on campus, the school will take advantage of its seminar rooms in order to continue its lessons in complete safety.  The 5 seminar rooms can accommodate up to 350 people enabling the school to respect social distancing.

The safety measures taken by the school do not stop there. In accordance with the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health), gatherings of more than 4 people will be prohibited, common spaces will be off limits and the allocation of study rooms will only be granted if social distancing is actively practiced by students. As for meals, they will now all be served in the large banquet halls per class and on individual plates rather than buffet. Protective masks will be provided and hand sanitizer will be available in various areas throughout the building.

The security teams will of course be on vigorous watch to ensure compliance with these rules however the school relies highly on its students to be responsible and practice safety at all times.

The next academic intake of 2020-2021 will continue to be on schedule until further notice.

All departments at Vatel Switzerland are very delighted to re-open and welcome its students back to campus!
