STEP 1
When applying; make sure you enclose the following documents with your application which will be sent to Vatel: • Application Form duly completed & signed by both the applicant and the sponsor (parents, relatives, mentor…..) • Copy of official certificates / diplomas / degrees of formal education • Copy of school transcripts showing studied subjects and grades obtained over previous 3 years • For program taught in English, copy of official English language test score: TOEFL or IELTS or other international tests • One page personal essay or letter of support in English • Copy of your valid passport or ID card showing your name and nationality • Four passport size photographs with a white background

STEP 2
On receipt of the Application Form including all required documents, the Admission Committee assesses your application and will inform you within 2 weeks as regard to their decision: either admitted to take the entry examination tests or non-admitted.

STEP 3
The entry examination tests take place in a Vatel Examination Centre or on the campus. Tests comprise: English test (French program), personality and skill assessment to work in the Hospitality industry, general culture, motivation letter, interview by the Director of the studies.

STEP 4
Two weeks later, the candidate receives confirmation of his/her tests results and the final admission status. He/her can finalize his/ her registration.

Vatel has appointed official representatives worldwide in order to facilitate the application and selection process. These representatives are authorized to diffuse information, advice students and their parents on course content and study choices. The academic calendar operates on a university semestral basis. Student intake is twice per annum: February and August. To apply for one of the educational programs at Vatel, students must follow the registration process as described below and comply with the appropriate entry requirements.

STEP 1
When applying; make sure you enclose the following documents with your application:
- Application Form duly completed & signed by both the applicant and the sponsor (parents, relatives, mentor.....)
- Official certificates / diplomas / degrees of formal education.
- Copy of school transcripts showing studied subjects and grades obtained over previous 3 years.
- Copy of official English language test score: TOEFL or IELTS or other international tests.
- One page personal essay or letter of support in English.
- Copy of your valid passport showing your name and nationality.
- Four passport size photographs with a white background.
- Copy of Birth certificate with full names of your mother and father and its certified translation in French.
- Recent medical certificate
- Vaccination certificate / records for Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B & Polio (The birth certificate and vaccination records can be sent at a later stage, if you do not have them during the initial application)
- A Study Plan, signed and dated (250 words maximum)
- A Post Study Plan (150 words maximum) for non European Union passport holders, only

STEP 2
On receipt of the International Application Form including all required documents, the Admission Committee assesses your application and will inform you within 2 weeks of their decision with an official Provisional Letter Of Acceptance (PLOA). In case of rejection, a brief written explanation of the reasons will be provided.

STEP 3
On receipt of the PLOA, applicants should transfer the admission fees of 440 CHF Swiss Francs (non refundable) by bank draft or by bank transfer to the order of Vatel Switzerland (see bank references below). On receipt of payment, Vatel will issue the Letter Of Acceptance (LOA) to guarantee the student a place for the next intake.
At this point it is necessary that students begin to have their birth certificate officially translated into French/English and it is essential that the birth certificate includes the full names of their mother and father and send it to us if not sent during the initial application.

STEP 4
The total fees relating to the first management year should be paid 10 weeks prior to the intake. On receipt of payment, Vatel will immediately issue the Letter of Guarantee & Residence (LGR) confirming your final admission. The LOA and LGR are compulsory documents to apply for a student visa at the Swiss Embassy or Consulate.

STEP 5
When the student visa is obtained, the applicant should immediately send a copy (by fax or by mail) to the Vatel Admission Office:

BANK DATAS
Payments can be made by check, credit card or bank transfer. Payments are made in Swiss Francs (CHF) no later than the 15th of November for the February intake and no later than 15th of May for the August intake.

Important !
Please make sure that the bank indicates the following data on the payment slip for the bank transaction:
- Your full name and student number
- The address of Vatel Switzerland

REFUND POLICY
In case of departure or dismissal, the total fees paid are not refundable. Every term started is owed entirely.
In case the Student Visa is rejected, the total tuition fees will be refunded to the applicant within 30 days on presentation of the rejection letter.
No refund of the Admission fees is possible.
