Research Center CirVath

In order to respect our commitments to World Association for Hospitality & Tourism Education, a decision was made to develop a research centre in every school. Our Research Center, called CirVath or International Vatel Hospitality and Tourism Research Center, focuses on promoting the science of tourism supported by research and innovation, as today leading luxury hotels need to hire young professionals, highly capable of innovation.

The creation of CirVath and recourse to professors-researchers who are striving to promote innovation in the subjects they teach (university courses modified for a private School,) have profoundly impacted Vatel's orientation, both in spirit and in content. As we have now opened up internationally, this has accelerated the process, as it would have been impossible for us to offer training throughout the world that was not professional, well structured, and of the highest quality.

Research groups target applied research with innovative ideas, solutions to challenges in today's world, and most importantly of all, they integrate these results into Vatel courses and in particular the MBA program, thus contributing to Vatel's development and reputation by:

Enhancing the professor's and student's knowledge of the tourist phenomenon;
Maintaining top quality teaching in the Hospitality and Hotel Management fields.

Since 2003, CirVath has been managing its own scientific publications and organizing work-shops and seminars. Research work is carried out by Vatel professors and researchers, by those in partner universities, by some of our students and by professionals who are specialized in the subject that is being studied.

The groups meet once a year to exchange knowledge, harmonize their results, and present them to Vatel School Directors in the framework of the International Convention
